Community Fund Application

Please fill out the application, submit your request and information about the organization 2 months prior to the due date.

Once the form is completed and faxed back to the center, all applications will be considered and one will be chosen. All applicants will be contacted by the end of each month after an organization is chosen.

* NO organization may submit a request more than 3 times a year and they may only receive an award once per calendar year.

Events:

The Shops at Briargate is proud to host Casas for CASA, a fundraiser for the local nonprofit organization CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). CASA provides a volunteer’s voice in court for children who are victims of abuse, neglect or domestic conflict, as well as promote community awareness of these issues to ensure safe and permanent homes.

From August 19 through September 25, The Shops at Briargate will have 3 large playhouses on display throughout the center. These playhouses are built by three local builders, and companies: A Mini Aspen Playhouse by Richmond American Homes, a Log Cabin by Colarelli Constructions, and a Williamsburg Playhouse by the National Charity League of Colorado Springs. All materials, time and labor are donated.

For a suggested $5 donation, you can enter a drawing to win one of these wonderful 8x8x8 playhouses.

To kick-off Casas for CASA, The Shops at Briargate will be holding a Friday Evening Concert Series. Every Friday evening, starting August 19 and running through September 16, from 6pm-8pm, in the common area by Champps Restaurant, a different band will perform. On August 19th, a representative from CASA will also be available to answer any questions and take playhouse ticket donations.

Then on Sunday, September 25, from 12-2pm join us for Family Fun Day at The Shops. Bring the kids and enjoy free music, face painting, coloring contest, balloon artists and more. At 2pm, the drawing for the CASA playhouses will start.
